Banderas presents debut fashion collection

The Spanish star, who is studying fashion at Central Saint Martins, presented the collection in London alongside Selected head designer Daniel Struzinski. It is split into three sections – vintage, indigo and tailoring – intended to reflect the different aspects of his life.
The Antonio Banderas Design by Selected Homme is a collection of 30 pieces, including black motorcycle jackets, a leather bomber jacket, chinos, jeans and shirts. The actor said he took inspiration from Versace with gold metal embellishments on the biker jacket.
“Probably one of the happiest times of my life was the Eighties, and I remember Versace putting gold with leather,” Banderas said. “I had this in mind, so we wanted to add the gold color, it’s those little details. I love motorcycles, I ride motorcycles, so we wanted to have a jacket that I can use and people with bikes can use for that purpose.”
