Second-generation leathergoods manufacturers Johanna and Esteban Martínez took part in a recent series of talks at the Technological University of Central America (Unitec), aimed at preparing students at the university’s San Pedro Sula campus for life in the business world.

Johanna and Esteban Martínez are brother and sister and now run Danilo’s, a leathergoods manufacturer set up by their father in 1974. It specialises in designing and producing handbags and other leathergoods for men and women.

Esteban Martínez said: “Honduras needs more entrepreneurs and, as second-generation business people, I think my sister and I can pass on to these young people certain principles that they can put into effect when setting up their own businesses.”
