Specialty chemicals company Lanxess will showcase its range of water treatment products at an event called Ecwatech in Moscow, April 26-28.

Products on display will include its Lewatit ion exchange resins for removing heavy metals from wastewater, and its Lewabrane reverse osmosis membrane elements.

Sergey Shilov, head of the Lanxess’s Liquid Purification Technologies (LPT) business unit for Russia, said in the build-up to Ecwatech that his company is optimistic about growth in that market. He said the Russian government has launched a series of programmes to improve water management, including investments in water infrastructure projects and environmental protection. “We expect the programmes aimed at modernising water treatment plants to contribute significantly to our business success in Russia,” he explained.
