€60m investment in Arzignano wastewater treatment

Stakeholders in Acque del Chiampo, the company that runs the Arzignano-Chiampo tanning cluster’s wastewater treatment plant, will invest €60 million in the facility between now and 2019.

Local authorities in and around Arzignano will contribute €45 million of this because the plant also treats wastewater on behalf of ten local municipalities. The tanneries in this part of northern Italy will, together, contribute the other €15 million.
