ICHSLTA elects new president

The International Council of Hides, Skins and Leather Trade Associations (ICHSLTA) has elected Stephen Sothmann, who heads up the US Hide, Skin and Leather Association (USHSLA), as its new president for the next two years. He will succeed Nick Winters, who steps down after a two-year term.
 
Victor Topper of Australian Hide Skin and Leather Exporters Association (AHSLEA) and Su Chaoying, President of the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), were elected as vice-presidents. The new group was elected at the 87th ICHSLTA annual general meeting in Hong Kong on March 31.
 
The group also welcomed the New-Zealand Animal By-Products Exporters’ Association as a new member.
 
The meeting ended with a presentation from Joe Gibson on the Gibson Bass Stamper, an identification tool for the hide industry.
