Fulvia Bacchi has confirmed to World Leather that she took over as the new director general of Italian tanning industry body UNIC, replacing Salvatore Mercogliano, at the end of March. She will also serve as chief executive of the Lineapelle exhibition.
Italian media reported that Mr Mercogliano had stepped down following a UNIC meeting on March 22.
