Shoes accounted for almost 80% of total sales and registered a year-on-year increase of 9.2%. Within that, the Tod’s brand contributed the most, with sales just short of €600 million and growth of 5.5%. Sales of Hogan shoes brought in €221.4 million (growth of 4.2%), while shoes under the Roger Vivier brand contributed revenues of €156 million and the highest growth of the year at 22.9%.
To supplement shoe sales, the Tod’s group also achieved revenues of €157.2 million from leathergoods and of €66.9 million from apparel.
Chief executive, Diego Della Valle, said on announcing the results: “Our group has achieved good results in a volatile environment. We are pleased with the positive performance of all our brands in all regions, with the exception of Hong Kong.”
With sales of €225.8 million in “Greater China”, the group’s result there was flat in 2015. It has said it is beginning to see “tentative signs of improvement in mainland China”, but that these signs are “not yet visible in Hong Kong”.
