Fatal accident at tannery in Paraguay

Two workers at a tannery in Paraguay died in late February following an accident. Local media have named the two as Carlos Miguel Giménez Ayala and Hugo Gómez.

They were workers at the Inducuer tannery in the city of San Antonio in the country’s Central department.

Reports say one of the workers went into a tanning drum thinking it empty but was overcome by fumes from chemicals that remained inside. His colleague attempted to help him, but was overcome too.
