No January let-up for Audi as SUVs drive growth
Following record-breaking sales last year, automotive group Audi has annouced sales of 143,150 vehicles in January, which constitutes growth of 4% compared to the same month in 2015 and a record for January.

Audi said on making the announcement that its SUV models had, “once again proved to be the global growth drivers”. The cumulative sales of the Audi Q3, Q5 and Q7 of around 46,350 units was 20.3% above the previous year’s figure.

In China, the company saw sales rise by 6.2% to 54,402 cars. The Audi Q5 proved “a very strong growth driver” in this market. At 11,670 units, demand for the mid-size SUV increased by 33.4% in the Chinese market compared to January 2015.
