Testing group SGS expands footprint in US with Accutest buy

Testing and accreditation group SGS has bought Accutest Laboratories, the fifth largest full-service environmental testing company in the US.

The purchase will add more than 600 employees and a national network of laboratories and customer service centres.

SGS has recently expanded its offering for leather and footwear testing, which we will look at in more detail in the next issue of World Leather.
