APIC picks new president

Mr Carvalho, who runs the Carvalhos tannery in Alcanena, was elected on October 26 and will hold the presidency for the next three years. He will represent all 53 of Portugal’s tanneries, 50 of which operate in Alcanena.
Carvalhos is focused on footwear and is part of the same family-run group as automotive tannery Couro Azul, where Nuno Carvalho is also part of the senior management team.
