Jitrois is a veteran supplier of the ‘Bond girl’ catsuit

French luxury leather apparel designer Jean Claude Jitrois was mildly flattered when Vogue UK made French actress Léa Seydoux its cover girl for October 2015.

The magazine wanted to celebrate Ms Seydoux’s appearance in new James Bond film, Spectre, and, typical of Bond girls, she appears wearing a leather catsuit, specifically the Jitrois ‘Kill’ catsuit.

In truth, though, magazines have been running features of this kind for years, featuring actresses and models such as Eva Green, Linda Evangelista, Monica Belucci and Isabeli Fontana, all wearing the ‘Kill’ catsuit, naturally, attesting to Jean Claude Jitrois’s standing as designer par excellence to Femmes Fatales.
