The company has described the car as “a unique creation” from its Bespoke Design Studio at Goodwood, in the south of England.
And the use of Rolls-Royce leather has been extended beyond the interior of ‘Wraith – History of Rugby’. In parallel, sporting goods manufacturer Gilbert, producer of the first ball used for playing rugby at Rugby School in the English Midlands in 1823, has used Rolls-Royce leather to make a limited number of rugby balls to match the Wraith.
Created using the same Seashell and Hotspur Red leather that the automotive manufacturer has used in the car’s interior, each ball has been embroidered by the craftspeople at Goodwood, with the red rose on one panel and the Rolls-Royce motif on the other. The red rose motif also appears on the dashboard and on each headrest inside he car.
