Leather and footwear are a focus for Nicaragua’s new minister

Nicaragua has appointed a new junior minister for development, industry and commerce, Ana Isabel Argüello, after her predecessor, Verónica Rojas, was named as the central American country’s new ambassador to Spain.

On taking up the role, Ms Argüello said she would pay special attention to the needs of Nicaragua’s small and medium-sized businesses, with the leather and footwear sectors an area of specific focus.
