Thai tannery and Chinese leather trader join forces

CPL, which was nominated for Tannery of the Year in 2011 and 2014, will hold a 40% stake in Integrated Leather Network while Andy Sai Ka Wong owns 30%, Kenneth Wong 19% and Puwasit Wongcharoensin 11%.
CPL’s deputy managing director Suwachai Wongcharoensin told local press: “Our partner has a strong network of suppliers in China and we are strong in the tanning industry. This joint venture will strengthen our supply chain and reduce both production and logistic cost considerably.”
CPL supplies footwear leather to brands including Timberland, Aidas and Rcokport. Production capacity is 2.5 million sq-m per month, according to its website.
