Audi happy with record H1, but China causes concern

10/07/2015
Automotive group Audi has reported a 3.8% increase in sales in the first half of 2015 compared to the first six months of last year.

In the period from January to June in 2015, Audi shipped just over 900,000 cars, the first time in its history it has passed the 900,000 mark in the first two quarters.

Sales in the Americas rose by 12.4%, with SUV sales showing particularly strong growth in the US where the combined models of the Q3, Q5 and Q7 increased sales by 28.5% in the first half of this year.

In China, the brand was able to increase its sales by 1.9% to 273,853 cars since January, but what it has called “the current restraint of Chinese customers in the upper market segments” led to a decline in June.
