Employers launch new apprenticeship programme in Indonesia

Employers’ association Apindo has launched a new programme to promote apprenticeships in manufacturing companies in Indonesia.

Apindo said the idea will help build the capacity of future employees and help tackle youth unemployment. There are reports of youth unemployment in Indonesia having reached levels of around 70%.

More than 14,000 Apindo members are being urged to take part in the new project, called the Indonesian National Apprenticeship Network (INAN).
