Students have until June 5 to apply for a Leathersellers grant

The Leathersellers’ Company has said students preparing to go to a UK University have until Friday June 5, 2015, to submit an application for grants it will award for up to £4,000 per year.

Applications can be made at this link. Leathersellers will take up references in August and September and then conduct interviews of candidates in London on October 5 and 6.

Anyone enrolled on any full-time degree course at a UK university can apply. Anyone with an unconditional offer of a place on a full-time degree course is also eligible.

Applicants should put forward a strong case, both academically and in terms of personal circumstances, as to why they feel they should be considered for an award. Applications are particularly welcomed from students of subjects connected to the leather trade.
