Stahl lab in Japan will be of particular help to small tanners
Leather chemicals manufacturer Stahl has refurbished its laboratory in Tatsuno in Japan, at which it will offer tanners testing on products that cover leather production from wet end to finish.

Sakamoto Yorinobu of Stahl’s subsidiary in Japan said at the time of the reopening that the lab will be used for developing new technology, trouble-shooting, colour-matching and as a place for the company to host workshops. Customers will also be able to use the equipment to run pilot tests of their own, with Stahl saying this will be of particular benefit to small and medium-sized tanners who do not have these facilities themselves.

Stahl has nearly 40 labs of this kind worldwide and has said it will open several more in the coming years.
