Minister promises funding after successful Pakistan leather event

Around 250 producers of leather, footwear and other leathergoods exhibited at the first Pakistan Mega Leather Show in Lahore, from March 6-8.

Commerce minister, Khurram Dastagir, said the event would help exporters establish relationships with international partners and explore new business avenues. He said funding of around $8.5 million would be available to help leather-sector companies in Pakistan develop their business in overseas markets in coming years, with the money coming from the Pakistan Export Development Fund.
