Strong ties with Germany good news for Uruguayan leather

Mr Riezler, who runs a Montevideo-based technology company specialising in automation in the home, Tecmany, said in a recent statement: “We have worked hard to make Germany Uruguay’s number-one partner in the European Union.”
Among the examples he gave of the success of this policy in recent years, he said: “German-produced car seats, which are among the best in the world, are being covered with Uruguayan leather.”
