Four seminars to examine the leather industry’s future in Europe
COTANCE, the leather industry’s representative body to the European Commission, has announced that it has begun a new “social dialogue” project with its “social partner”, trade union organisation, industriAll. Under the title ‘A Future for European Leather’, the organisations want to envisage what the sector in Europe might look like in 2025.

National partners who have agreed to take part include leather associations and trade unions in France, the UK, Romania, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Austria, Sweden and Italy.

Leather industry professionals from across Europe will be invited to take part in the dialogue at four separate seminars in the course of 2015, leading to a final conference event in the early part of 2016.

The 2015 seminars will take place in four different European countries: Romania on April 24, France on June 18, Portugal in October and the UK in December.
