Elmo achieves leather industry first with Volvo
Elmo Sweden AB has become the first tanner ever to be awarded the prestigious Volvo Quality Excellence (VQE) Award for its performance in supplying quality leather for the automotive company’s interiors. Volvo presented the award to Elmo at the car brand’s headquarters in Gothenburg at the end of November.

“Elmo is proud to be recognised as a VQE partner by Volvo,” the tanning company said afterwards, “and to work in partnership with Volvo to provide the high-quality products expected by Volvo customers.”

The VQE Award rates suppliers against a set of quality and manufacturing standards, detailing what the automotive company expects of them and supports them in their efforts to achieve continuous improvement.

Elmo Sweden was represented at the ceremony by sales and marketing manager, John Olsson, and by customer quality manager, David Hagström.

Collecting the award, David Hagström commented:  “We are honoured and delighted to be the first manufacturer of leather ever to be awarded such a prestigious award as Volvo Quality Excellence Award. It is a testimony to our hard work and the quality focus that embody the entire organisation. Needless to say this award will encourage us to continue to improve our quality performance in the future.”

Elmo Sweden is a part of Rino Mastrotto Group and focuses on manufacturing exclusive leather for the premium automotive and luxury furniture industries.
