Tyson reports record revenues

US packer and tanning group Tyson has reported record revenues for its full fiscal year for 2014. Its business year runs until the end of September.

Revenues for 2014 were almost $37.6 billion, an increase of 9.3% compared to 2013’s figures. From this, Tyson made operataing income of more than $1.4 billion, up by 4% year on year.

On reporting the results, chief executive, Donnie Smith, said: “Two years ago, I told our team members, ‘The turnaround is over; it’s time to turn it on.’ They did, and the proof is in our second year in a row of record sales and earnings.”
