France’s first LWG auditor confirmed

The Leather Working Group (LWG), the multi-stakeholder group that assesses the environmental performance of tanneries, has confirmed Rene´ Liauzon as its first accredited French-based auditor.

Mr Liauzon is director of the leather, raw hides and tannery department at French research and testing body CTC. He is the eighth official LWG auditor.

After Graduating from the French School of Tanneries in 1982, Rene´ Liauzon worked in engineering and technical sales for leather chemicals companies. He then went on to work in senior production roles in the French tanning sector, serving as president of the French Tanners’ Federation (FFTM) between 2006 and 2008.
