French leathergoods companies to receive special welcome in Istanbul

The 2014 Istanbul Leather Fair will take place at the Tuyap Fair and Congress
Centre in Turkey’s biggest city from November 18-20.

Tanners, chemical suppliers, machinery companies and finished product manufacturers will all take part.

This year, the Turkish Leather Foundation in cooperation with the country’s ministry for economics and finance has arranged for a delegation of leathergoods manufacturers in France to visit the fair and to have follow-up visits to a number of Turkish tanneries.

Ruken Mizrakli, president of the Turkish Leather Foundation, said she expected at least 20,000 visitors from 50 countries to travel to Istanbul for the event.
