Chemtan mourns former company president

03/10/2014
New England-based leather chemicals manufacturer Chemtan has announced the death of Dave Ouellette.

Mr Ouellette, who died on September 29, worked for the company for 37 years and became its president in 2009. He stepped down in July 2014 because of health problems to spend more time with his family and friends. He was 59 when he died.

His funeral took place on October 3 in Epping, New Hampshire, where he lived with his wife and family.

Dave Ouellette earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston and a Master’s in business administration from the University of Southern California. As well as being a key member of the leadership team at Chemtan for almost 40 years, he was a prominent member of the American Leather Chemists’ Association.

“Words cannot express adequately the appreciation for his years of dedicated service to our company,” said new Chemtan president, Donald Pine, on announcing in July that Dave Ouellette was stepping down.
