24/09/2014
Luxury group Kering has named Carlo Imò as head of its business in Asia Pacific. He will take up the new post on December 1, 2014, reporting to Jean-François Palus, group managing director.

Mr Imò will succeed Mimi Tang, who is leaving after 16 years at Kering and PPR (the group’s former name).

François-Henri Pinault, Kering chief executive, paid tribute to the work Ms Tang has done to establish the group’s brands in the region, especially Gucci.

Carlo Imò joined the Kering group in 2001 as worldwide general counsel for Gucci. He later became general counsel for the entire group in Asia Pacific and then vice president of human resources there.
