Lambskin and lycra are just right for new Jitrois dress
A “fusion of the finest-quality lambskin with a unique lycra fabric” has allowed Paris-based designer Jean Claude Jitrois to include, in his current collection, autumn-winter 2014-2015, a new dress that he says will allow the wearer to “embroider her skin with beautiful lines”.

The dress, called the Eifer, is in classic black lambskin and has a fairly traditional shape covering the area between the top of the torso and the thigh. But above the bust, a striking embroidered design, still in black lambskin, takes over, partially covering the top of the body, front and back, and the shoulders.

Jean Claude Jitrois, who launched his own brand in 1983, began working with stretch leather in the early 1990s. He believes he deserves credit for moving leather apparel from a macho environment and into the world of women’s fashion. He has also said his commitment to leather clothes has been “lucky” for his brand because “leather garments are something very special”.
