World Cup exercise delivers $6 billion worth of business

As part of the project, 2,400 overseas business figures from 104 countries received invitations to travel to Brazil during the tournament, which took place in June and July. They attended meetings with more than 700 Brazilian firms and attended matches in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Apex-Brasil said the exercise helped to boost business and to improve the image of Brazilian products in the eyes of international buyers.
