USMEF Latin American Product Showcase moves to Peru

For the fourth consecutive year, the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) travelled to Latin America in mid-July to help connect buyers and sellers of US beef, lamb and other meets at an event called the USMEF Latin American Product Showcase.

Peruvian capital, Lima, was picked as the venue for this year’s event on July 16 and 17.

Previous editions of the showcase have taken place in Panama, Colombia and Guatemala and have been, according to USMEF, a big success for US meat suppliers.

“We want to get US packers more involved in each of the Latin American countries,” said Gerardo Rodriguez, USMEF director of trade development for Central America and the Dominican Republic, in the build-up to the Lima event. He said the popularity of the showcase has snowballed.
