Chemtan says farewell to company president

08/07/2014
New England-based leather chemicals manufacturer Chemtan has announced the retirement of Dave Ouellette after 37 years with the company, the last six as its president. It said Mr Ouellette has had some health concerns and wants to spend more time with family and friends.

“Words cannot express adequately the appreciation for his years of dedicated service to our company,” said newly elected Chemtan president Donald Pine on making the announcement.

He went on to credit Dave Ouellette for developing “a strong, viable team” to take the company forward in the years ahead, with David Powell as vice-president of operations and Ned Tulgar as vice-president of research and development as other important components of the company’s leadership.

Newer additions to the Chemtan team include beamhouse and tanning chemicals specialist Khorshed Alam, who joined in 2012, and wet-end technician Dan Uribe, who joined the company’s Midwest sales team this year to serve central and south-central regions of the US.

Founded in 1947, Chemtan now has customers in 33 countries around the world.
