H&M announces extension to its footwear range
Swedish retail group H&M has announced that it will launch an extended shoe range in early autumn 2014.

It announced positive half-yearly results on June 18, registering sales growth of 20% and an increase in gross profit of 19%, and said the extended footwear offering was one of the factors that made it optimistic about its full-year performance. H&M’s company year runs from December 1 to November 30 each year.

On making the announcement, chief executive Karl-Johan Persson, said: “We are continuing to broaden our current offering within H&M. Already this autumn, we will launch an extended and improved shoe range for women, men, teenagers and children. The new shoe concept will offer a variety of models in different price categories, all at H&M prices. The range will be launched in selected H&M stores in nine countries and in our online markets. This is a part of our long-term investments.”
