China imports less finished leather

Between January and April this year, China imported 50,500 tonnes of finished leather. There was an increase of 27.7% in February, with volumes influenced by the Lunar New Year holiday in China, but decreases in each of the other three months.
Year on year, finished leather imports for January were 7.6% down, while those for March and April were down by 16.9% and 19.7% respectively.
