Stories abound of non-leather materials attempting to imitate leather’s look and feel, but Spanish luxury leathergoods brand Loewe has turned the tables by launching a new range of bags and small leathergoods that deliberately look like denim.

Items in the new Indigo collection are made from what the company calls high-quality suede.

“The material has been subjected to special dyeing, finishing and embossing processes, through which it takes on the look of denim jeans,” Loewe said at the time of the launch.
