Pakistan poised for a new ‘mega’ event for the leather industry

Reports in Pakistan suggest the country’s tanning industry association, the PTA, may be on the point of teaming up with the Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association (PFMA), the Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers & Exporter Association (PLGMEA) and the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association to launch what industry insiders are referring to as a Pakistan Mega Leather Show.

They have suggested January 26-29 as possible dates, with Lahore as the most likely host city.

In addition, there are suggestions that the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) would provide funding for the event.
