Italian companies prepare for Lahore and Islamabad

The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) has encouraged Italian tanning machinery manufacturers and other companies from Italy to take part in an event in Pakistan. The Italy-Pakistan Business Forum will take place at venues in Lahore and Islamabad from May 19-21.

UNIDO said in the build-up to the forum that its main aims were to examine investment opportunities for Italian companies in Pakistan and to strengthen existing business ties between the two countries.

While the event will cover a number of different business sectors, UNIDO said that a substantial amount of time would be devoted to the tanning industry. Companies taking part will also visit production facilities in Pakistan.
