TFL presents leather trends for autumn-winter 2015-16

16/04/2014
Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL has released its colour trends catalogue for the autumn-winter 2015-16 season.

In the catalogue, the company presents colour trends for leather garments, footwear, accessories and upholstery.

The colour trends are divided into ‘Wearing’ and ‘Living’.

In the first of these, simple and transparent finishing on calfskin and other bovine leathers will be part of the trend. The graphic style of the 1950s will be mixed with the kitsch of the 1980s by combining exaggerated accessories with clean and hand-crafted raw materials. The colours vary from intense violet, red, orange and brown to blue and green.

In ‘Living’ bovine leathers with new metallic and slightly vintage effects, will keep a leading position in the upholstery field, but vegetable-tanned lambskins will also be popular, thanks to their natural grain, TFL has said. Referring to the colours, white leathers need to have high light-fastness and a full touch. The colours range from beige, red brown, orange, violet to grey and green.
