Turkish leather garment makers in search of new markets at APLF
27/03/2014
Of the companies from Turkey that travelled to Hong Kong to take part, around 20 were tanners, while five were suppliers of leather chemicals or machinery. The remaining 30 or so Turkish companies were makers of finished leather garments, who said in advance of the event that they hoped to open up new markets for their products.
The Turkish leather garment manufacturers explained that, because of the ongoing dispute between Russia and Ukraine, traditionally two of their most important markets, they have experienced a decline in sales in recent months.
