H&M promotes 'organic leather' from Tärnsjö
Swedish retailer H&M is set to launch new collections called Conscious and Conscious Exclusive which use ‘organic’ leather from Swedish tannery Tärnsjö.

Also featuring Tencel and ‘organic silk’, the retailer says it "shows what can be done sustainable materials". It describes organic leather as leather from cows bred for organic meat production.

 “Conscious and Conscious Exclusive show the breadth of possibilities with sustainable materials, and our new Clever Care labelling lets our customers join our mission towards a more sustainable future for fashion,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M´s head of design.
