ICT prepares to elect new president

The International Council of Tanners (ICT) will elect a new president and vice-president when it hold its 2014 council meeting in Hong Kong on March 30.

Rino Mastrotto of the Rino Mastrotto Group in Italy will be proposed as the new president and Richard Pai of TehChang in Taiwan as vice-president.

Mr Mastrotto will give an address, sharing his thoughts on the global leather industry, during the meeting, as will outgoing president, Wolfgang Goerlich of CICB in Brazil.

There will also be presentations at the meeting from Dr Gerhard Wolf of BASF on sustainability in the leather industry, from Gustavo González-Quijano of COTANCE on product environmental footprint, and from footwear industry consultant Peter Mangione on the global shoe market.
