Leather chemicals manufacturer Lanxess has announced that the head of its business in Argentina, Heinz Richartz, is to leave the company to pursue other interests. From April 1, current finance director of Argentinean operations, Jan-Torben Kessler, will take up Mr Richartz’s role in addition to his current responsibilities.

Markus Eckert, head of Lanxess’s leather business unit, said on making the announcement: “Heinz Richartz has played a key role in the successful transformation of our company in Argentina. He has spent 24 years in different areas of business in Bayer and then Lanxess and has always shown great commitment and contributed significantly to the company’s success. He goes with our sincere gratitude and great respect.”

For his part, Jan-Torber Kessler joined the company in 2002 and has been finance director of Lanxess Argentina since June 2010.
