Shoes and leather contribute to Vietnam-Spain trade imbalance

23/01/2014
The trade imbalance between Vietnam and Spain reached levels above EUR 280 million in the first nine months of 2013, with Spain exporting goods with a value of EUR 182.7 million to its Asian trading partner while goods worth EUR 468 million came the other way, customs statistics show.

Leather is one of the main products that Spain exported to Vietnam over the period, but, ironically, footwear and accessories were among the main products it imported back.
