2013 group sales at BMW at record levels

13/01/2014
The BMW Group has reported sales of more vehicles in 2013 than in any other year in the company’s history, with a total of 1.96 million.

Luxury brand Rolls-Royce, which reported its results a week ago, contributed 3,630 cars to the total, so the other two brands, BMW and Mini, contributed the bulk of the volume. All three brands, however,  reported record deliveries for 2013.

Group director, Ian Robertson, said on reporting the figures: “Our success can be attributed to our attractive and innovative models, the strength of our premium brands and our strategy of balanced sales across all continents. Despite the prevailing headwinds in many markets, we aim to increase sales and make 2014 another record year.”
