50,000 attend leather fair

The China Leather Industry Association has reported that the first three-day leather fair in Fuxin, which finished on December 10, attracted 50,000 visitors and resulted in 150 million RMB ($25 million) of business – more than had been anticipated.

Local businesses made up 30% of exhibitors, and included garment, footwear and leathergoods manufacturers.

A new leather complex planned for the town has already attracted more than 70 firms.
