According to a recent report in the Financial Times, Poland is currently the fourth-largest exporter of furniture in the world by value.

The newspaper said Poland’s furniture exports in 2013 are likely to reach EUR 6.9 billion in value. This would represent growth of 4.8% on the figure for 2012 and put Poland in fourth place in the world furniture export rankings, behind only China, Germany and Italy.

Swedish furniture retailer Ikea currently manufactures 18% of all its products in Poland, the Financial Times said, employing a total of 8,600 people there.
