CICB pleased by increase in finished hide exports

Brazilian tanning industry association CICB has expanded on the recent announcement about the value of hide exports from the country in October by making a new statement about export volumes.

In the course of the month, Brazil exported more than 3.3 million cattle hides. This figure includes hides at all stages of production and represents a monthly record. Compared to the same month in 2012, the figure represents an increase of 31.5%.

CICB said there had been a significant increase in the number of finished hides in the total, more than 1.3 million.
