It still takes years to learn to make classy gloves

West-of-England luxury gloves brand Dents has pointed out that it takes less time than it used to for someone to learn the art of glove-making, but that it is still a long process.

In a comment on Twitter, Dents said that it used to take seven years for someone to learn all the tricks of the trade but that an apprenticeship will now, typically, lasting four years.

Over the four-year period, someone learning to be a skilled glove-maker at Dents would learn to work with materials such as hair-sheep or deerskin leather and combining them with silk or cashmere linings to make beautiful gloves for women and men.
