He said he was committed to making it a priority during the next term of his leadership of the organisation to make Portuguese leather and footwear “a reference point internationally”.
Details of a new ten-year strategic plan for the Portuguese footwear sector over the next decade will be published soon, APICCAPS said.
Mr Frederico is the founder of the Fly London footwear and accessory brand.
