New leadership team for USMEF

The US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) announced the names of its leadership team for next year at the end of its annual strategic planning conference in Fort Worth, Texas, in early November.

Mark Jagels, a custom cattle feeder from Davenport, Nebraska, is the organisation’s new chairman, while Leann Saunders, president of Where Food Comes From, a provider of third-party identification verification and traceability solutions for the livestock and agricultural industries, will be the USMEF chairperson in 2014.

Tyson Foods executive Roel Andriessen will be vice-chair.
